LARGEST HOCKEY STADIUM
The Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, India has been named in honor of the great tribal leader and freedom fighter, Birsa Munda, and is the largest all-seater field hockey stadium in the world with a capacity of 21,000. The stadium is being built exclusively to host the 2023 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup. This is the fourth time India is hosting this event and the second time in Odisha. The 2023 version of the cup is hosted held between two cities in the state of Odisha, Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. Along with the Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium, the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar is also be used as a venue for the event.
